GEA Filtration will exhibit at the 2008 PACK EXPO on booth #S-251 together with the following GEA companies and business units: GEA Procomac, GEA Niro Soavi, GEA Avapac (Avalon Engineering), GEA Colby, GEA Liquid Processing, GEA Niro Soavi, GEA Niro and GEA Processing Engineering. The event will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago. PACK EXPO (and the co-located PROCESS EXPO) is expected to attract more than 45,000 attendees, including over 6,000 international visitors from more than 125 countries.

Cross-flow membrane filtration technology is quickly gaining global acceptance as an important manufacturing step in many process industries worldwide. The ability to produce very specific separations / purifications at low or ambient temperatures often make membrane filtration a much more cost-effective technology than more conventional methods such as rotary vacuum filtration or filter presses. Membrane filtration is a pressure driven technology with pore sizes ranging from 100 molecular weight to 5 microns. The technologies included in membrane filtration are: Reverse Osmosis RO, Nanofiltration NF, Ultrafiltration UF, and Microfiltration MF. The PACK EXPO AND PROCESS EXPO event:PACK EXPO International will focus on the latest developments in packaging technology and will showcase exhibitors' state-of-the-art advances in packaging machinery and associated technologies. The top companies in the industry will be exhibiting and making product introductions at the show. PACK EXPO will be co-located with PROCESS EXPO which will features over 550 exhibiting companies utilizing over 200,000 net sq ft. Located in the new West Building at McCormick Place, PROCESS EXPO will focus on the newest developments in processing technology to meet the challenges faced by the industry's food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers. PROCESS EXPO exhibitors will demonstrate equipment, products and service solutions in the bakery, beverage, confectionary, dairy, fruit and vegetable, ingredients and flavors, meat, pharmaceutical, prepared and snack food industries. Visitors will come to see and purchase the latest in food processing equipment, systems and services. GEA Filtration will exhibit on the PACK EXPO side of the show to be together with the other GEA companies. Participation on the PROCESS EXPO side would obviously have been a more natural.
