GEA Filtration will exhibit at the 2009 FEW on booth number 819. GEA Filtration has successfully applied membrane filtration technology to the production of ethanol from cellulosic materials. The production of fuel grade ethanol has exploded in recent years due to the push to get away from the reliance on fossil fuels such as gasoline. Until just recently, the primary source for the majority of ethanol has been corn. However, ethanol derived from cheaper and more renewable sources such as cellulosic biomass like corn stover, switchgrass, cereal straws and wood chips has emerged as a major factor in this industry. »» Please click here to read more.
2009 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo (FEW) GEA Filtration will exhibit together with the following GEA companies:
The 2009 FEW Event - a conference tailored for ethanol producers: Celebrating a quarter century of excellence, the 25th annual FEW will offer cutting-edge content, unparalleled business development opportunities, and a lively tribute to industry progress. From its inception in 1985, this globally recognized event has helped facilitate the ethanol industry's evolution by providing world-class programming that includes spot-on technical workshops and invaluable networking forums alongside the largest, most widely attended expo in the business. While the FEW evolves with the industry, the spirit and purpose of the event remain constant: The FEW delivers presentations about commercial-scale ethanol production, new technology, and near-term research and development. With more than 700 booths in the expo representing over 600 companies, it is the world's largest, longest-running ethanol conference. BBI International has owned and operated the FEW since 1995. In that time, the event has grown from 188 attendees and 13 exhibitors to its current size of 4,000-plus attendees and 600 exhibitors annually. The event draws people from over 30 countries and from nearly every ethanol plant in the United States and Canada. GEA FiltrationGEA Filtration has maintained its leadership in membrane filtration technology for a long time. Our plants are used to meet special liquid separation requirements by utilizing microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, or reverse osmosis. The simplicity and effectiveness of our technology allows membrane filtration to be utilized in many different industries for the production of specific products, and in environmental applications.
