GEA Filtration recommends the IFT Scientific Program

With the dedication of hundreds of food professionals and after much research, IFT is offering the most relevant and best organized scientific food conference. The conference is organized around key focus areas within the food industry, and based on core sciences which provide the foundation for all things related to food science. We wish to highlight the following program tracks where our process systems and solutions are highly relevant:

  • Sustainability
This track will showcase the efforts of food industry, academia and government to create a more sustainable food supply. The science to support efforts in food sufficiency; sustainable product development and packaging; ingredient sourcing and food production; waste management; and the business case for environmental sustainability will be addressed.
  • Food Processing & Packaging
This track will focus on food processing and packaging in order to improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability or to lead to development of new products, processes, packaging materials or techniques. Sessions will seek to improve understanding of scientific and engineering principles of new and existing food processing and packaging technologies.
  • Product Development
This track will highlight primary aspects of the development and introduction of food product innovation to the marketplace. Included are consumer research, product innovation procedures and related business information, and technical aspects of product development.

Each year, professionals in R&D, engineering, project management and other scientific/technical positions, as well as in corporate management, purchasing, consulting, academia, government/regulatory and technical sales and marketing attend the IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo. They come to exchange information, gain new insights, meet new people, and strengthen existing relationships at the world's number one event for advancing the science, technology and business of food and food ingredients.
