GEA Filtration

GEA Filtration is a world-leading supplier of cross-flow membrane filtration systems to the food, dairy, beverage, biofood, and nutraceutical (nutritional) industries. The company has expertise in pilot trials and application development, systems scale-up, project engineering, process integration, fabrication, installation and start-up, service, and membrane replacement.

GEA Filtration will exhibit the popular and flexible pilot plant Model R which can carry out pilot studies on the full range of membrane filtration technologies (microfiltration MF, ultrafiltration UF, nanofiltration NF, and reverse osmosis RO) under different operating conditions.

The technology of cross-flow membrane filtration is quickly gaining global acceptance as an important manufacturing step in many of the process lines in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical/biotechnology and starch and sweetener industries worldwide. The ability to produce very specific separations at low or ambient temperatures with no phase change can, in many applications, make membrane filtration a much more cost-effective solution than more conventional methods such as rotary vacuum filtration or filter presses. Membrane filtration is a pressure driven technology with pore sizes ranging from 100 molecular weight to 5 microns.

GEA Liquid Processing (the process integration, engineering and automation activities of Tuchenhagen North America)

GEA Liquid Processing is a new business group dedicated to supplying process integration services and liquid processing solutions. The formation of GEA Liquid Processing is part of GEA's global plan to strengthen the group's liquid processing capabilities. The foundation for this objective is to have dedicated liquid processing companies to integrate the unit operations from the different GEA companies and to provide project management for large turnkey projects.

GEA Evaporation Technologies

Supplying evaporation, distillation, rectification, and crystallization process technology and systems to the North American market. GEA Evaporation Technologies serves a variety of industries, including biotechnology, food, dairy and beverage, and environmental.

Atlas Freeze Drying Systems

Atlas is the world's leading supplier of freeze drying systems for the food, food ingredients, and beverage industries. Atlas freeze dryers set the world standard for design, operation and quality. The delivery program includes plant sizes ranging from pilot scale to large industrial batch and continuous plants.

Niro Food & Dairy Dryers

Will exhibit a variety of drying and agglomeration systems including spray dryers, fluid bed processors, as well as a new process, Tixotherm™, to dry de-proteinized whey.

GEA Powder Systems (uniting the state-of-the-art technologies of Avalon Engineering, Avapac, Packaging Systems, and Colby Powder Handling Systems)

Will exhibit the latest technology in sanitary powder packaging, handling and conveying. This will include dense phase low velocity convey systems, filling of super sacks in a sanitary and dust free systems, filling of open mouth kraft paper or plastic bags 10-55lb, filling of rigid retail containers for food and pharmaceutical powders.

Niro Custom Fabrication

The Niro custom fabrication facility was acquired by GEA Process Engineering Inc. in 1979. It has since been constantly upgraded both in regard to the fabrication machinery and equipment as well as the labor skills. The result being one of the most efficient, experienced and best equipped stainless steel workshops in the United States. The workshop employs approximately 75 skilled people on the floor in the 51,000 sqf. facility. Work in compliance to USDA-3A, pharmaceutical cGMP, and ASME BPE standards.

Niro Soavi

Niro Soavi will display their re-designed NS5180H homogenizers and their new Twin Panda laboratory homogenizer.

Westfalia Separator

Westfalia Separator will among others show their popular MSE 230 separator and the high capacity GSE 550 separator.

Leading Technologies. Individual Solutions.

Worldwide Food Expo '05 is the year's largest food and beverage processing and packaging event in the world, covering more than a million square feet of exhibits and featuring 1,200 of the world's leading suppliers.
