This year at the NWFPA Expo our booth will feature the following GEA Companies and Business Groups:

GEA Filtration

A world-leading supplier of cross-flow membrane filtration systems to the food, dairy, beverage, biofood, and nutraceutical industries. The company has expertise in pilot trials and application development, systems scale-up, project engineering, process integration, fabrication, installation and start-up, service, and membrane replacement.

Niro Soavi

Niro Soavi features a full range of sanitary 3A high-pressure pumps and homogenizers. On display will be the new energy efficient homogenizing valve "The Nano Valve". The NanoValve enables the homogenizing process at lower pressures in most dairy, food and beverage applications. The NanoValve can be installed on all existing Niro Soavi homogenizers as well as on other brands.

GEA Liquid Processing (Tuchenhagen)

Will demonstrate its capabilities in process integration with special emphasis on the integration of Niro components into complete process lines. Various automation screens and systems will also be displayed.

GEA Evaporation Technologies

The company is dedicated to supplying evaporation, distillation, rectification, and crystallization process technology and systems to the North American market. The company serves a variety of industries, including biotechnology, food, dairy and beverage, and environmental. The company features three product lines:

  • Niro - specializing in sanitary, multi-effect evaporators for the food and dairy industries.
  • GEA Wiegand - focus on distillation, rectification, and evaporation of beverages, carbohydrates, alcohol and effluent.
  • GEA Kestner - expertise includes evaporators and crystallizers for acids and speciality chemicals.

Atlas Freeze Drying

Note: As of December 1, 2001 Niro has acquired the Food Division of Atlas-Stord, the internationally well known supplier of RAY and CONRAD freeze dryers and also vacuum dry condensing equipment. Atlas (Niro) is the world's leading supplier of freeze drying systems for the food, food ingredients, and beverage industries. Atlas freeze dryers set the world standard for design, operation and quality. The delivery program includes plant sizes ranging from pilot scale to large industrial batch and continuous plants.

Avapac (formerly known as Avalon Engineering)

Will exhibit the latest technology in hygienic powder packaging and handling systems.

Niro Food & Dairy Dryers

Will exhibit a variety of drying and agglomeration systems including spray dryers, fluid bed processors, as well as a new process to dry de-proteinized whey.

Tuchenhagen Flow Components

Tuchenhagen's flow components are designed and manufactured with strict adherence to the following principles:

  • Total Cleanability - No Dead Pockets or Tees
  • Modular Components - Offers Interchangeability and Fewer Spare Parts.
