American Institute of Baking

Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas
ATTRA - National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service, funded by the US Department of Agriculture, is managed by the National Center for Appropriate Technology. It provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, Extension agents, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States.

AICHE
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, AIChE, was founded in 1908. AIChE is a professional association of more than 40,000 members that provides leadership in advancing the chemical engineering profession. Its members are creative problem-solvers who use their scientific and technical knowledge to develop processes and design and operate plants to make useful products at a reasonable cost.

Bio-Link
Bio-Link is a National Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Center for Biotechnology that originated in late 1998 with a grant from the National Science Foundation. The ATE program was created to improve and expand educational programs that prepare skilled technicians to work in the high-tech fields that drive the U.S. economy.

BioTechnology Industry Organization

Codex Alimentarius
The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme. The main purposes of this Programme are protecting health of the consumers and ensuring fair trade practices in the food trade, and promoting coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Northwest Food Processors Association
NWFPA is a 90-year-old trade association representing the interests of food processors in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. We are headquartered in Portland, Oregon and have a satellite office located in Boise, Idaho. NWFPA has 486 member companies including 86 food processors and nearly 200 production facilities throughout our region. Membership is primarily fruit and vegetable processors but has expanded over the past several years to include seafood, dairy, bakeries, specialty and fresh-cut.
