Following the restructure of the L and P divisions within GEA and subsequent acquisition of Liquid Technologies operations both in NZ and Australia, Liquid Technologies will operate as a division of both Niro NZ Ltd. and Niro Australia Pty. Ltd. Liquid Technologies will continue to represent GEA Filtration in Australia and NZ. With their extensive experience in supplying Membrane Filtration plants and integrating them in complete process lines for the dairy industry, Liquid Technologies will expand their role in supplying membrane filtration solutions to the following market segments -food & beverage, biotech & pharmaceutical and process wastewater. The local sales network will be expanded with dedicated GEA Filtration personnel. This follows closely on the heels of expanding and strengthening GEA Filtration organization in Europe. GEA has expertise in building systems for concentration, separation, and purification of process streams - these include: thermal evaporation; freeze concentration; and mechanical separation. The increased focus on membrane filtration reinforces GEA's technology leadership position in separation and concentration applications, and enhances the synergies obtained between the individual technologies and business units within GEA. GEA Filtration in Hudson, WI, USA, will remain the worldwide center of excellence for all cross-flow membrane filtration activities. GEA Filtration supplies Reverse Osmosis, Nanofiltration, Ultrafiltration and Microfiltration technology and systems to the worldwide market in the dairy, food, chemical, beverage, and pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
