At this year's Starch Convention, the following GEA companies will present their products and technologies: GEA Barr-Rosin, GEA Filtration, GEA Wiegand, Hovex, Lurgi Life Science and Westfalia Separator Industry Highlights at the Starch Convention: GEA Wiegand will report about the new bioethanol plant for the production of fuel additive power alcohol in Saxonia-Anhalt, Germany, which is being installed right now and will be commissioned shortly. This plant will be producing 330,000 litres of dehydrated bioethanol per day. For dehydration, a molecular sieve will be used. The energy consumption is extremely low due to integrated thermal connection. GEA Filtration, specialist for crossflow membrane filtration, will present a wide range of system configurations and membrane types for starch and sweetener applications. Westfalia Separator Industry will introduce their new starch decanter CB635, as well as the high performance nozzle separator SDR 260 and the high performance clarifier HSB 400.
