Lise-Lotte Frisch Lindhe has joined GEA Filtration in January 2004 as Area Sales Manager for the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors throughout Europe and the Middle East. Her role will be to work closely with the UK office to develop new business and to improve the separation processes for high value products.
She has an MSc in cell biology and chemistry from the university of Odense. She graduated in 1989. During her studies she researched the use of antibodies to detect and destroy cancer cells; she also studied enzyme reaction believed to be a good model for chaos calculations. After her studies Lise-Lotte continued an academic career first at the Institute of Biochemistry and then at the Panum Institute, part of the University of Copenhagen. For nine years (1993-2002) Lise-Lotte worked with a technical component distributor in Copenhagen. During this time she was responsible for sales of filters and separators to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and rose from the position of sales consultant to sales director. Asked about her new role, Lise-Lotte said that she was really looking forward to working with the GEA Group. 'The backing of the group is very important,' she said. 'For example, membrane filtration is not the correct method for a client, I can still help them by calling upon technologies from other GEA companies. This means that I can always give the advice that is right for the customer.' Niels Olsen, the company's European Division Manager for GEA Filtration is also delighted with Lise-Lotte's new appointment. 'Lise-Lotte is a remarkable person,' he said. 'It's very unusual to find someone with her combination of technical and scientific expertise and direct sales experience in our industry. I was very fortunate to find her.' And Lise-Lotte is remarkable in other ways too. For 14 years she was in the Danish Home Guard. She also played for six years in the Danish underwater rugby team, representing her country at the 1995 world championships in Colombia. GEA Filtration is a world leader in crossflow membrane filtration, with reverse osmosis and nano-, ultra-, and microfiltration as core technologies. GEA Filtration is part of the GEA group and has application centers in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Denmark. |
