GEA Filtration intensifies co-operation with Graver Technologies for Membrane Filtration in the European market - including the 'Bullet-Proof' SCEPTER module.GEA Filtration has intensified its co-operation with Graver Technologies in the European market by choosing the SCEPTER module as the preferred stainless steel cross-flow micro-filtration membrane, acclaimed to be the world's toughest filter. The membrane modules are used in a wide range of GEA Filtration systems for process and resource recovery applications throughout the food, beverage and industrial markets. Niels E. Olsen, Division Manager for GEA Filtration Europe, "It is important that we work closely with all our suppliers if we are to provide our customers with accurate, unbiased advice on the best technology for every application," he said. "We believe that the agreement with Graver will be a significant development in our ability to service the starch, sugar, sweetener and general industrial markets from our application centre in Ettlingen, Germany covering Food & Beverage and Industrial applications within Europe". GEA Filtration has successfully applied the SCEPTER module in its membrane filtration systems over the past 3 years. The SCEPTER membrane has become well known as a durable and cost-effective alternative to centrifugal or pre-coat filter technology in these key market sectors. It has the ability to re-duce maintenance costs, reduce spare parts inventories, improve recovery rates, and reduce product losses. SCEPTER membranes provide superior separation performance under challenging process conditions. The tubular cross-flow technology and 316L stainless steel construction make SCEPTER membrane systems virtually "bullet-proof," and allow processing of a wide variety of difficult, dirty or hostile streams, over a broad range of chemical conditions, pressures and tem-peratures. In fact, for certain extreme applications, no other membrane device can be used. GEA Filtration is a world leader in cross-flow membrane filtration, with reverse osmosis and nano-, ultra-, and micro-filtration as core technologies. GEA Filtration is part of the GEA group and has application centres in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Denmark.
